PIPPIN | Presented by Play On Words Productions
ROLE: Choreographer
The search for meaning in a world built on spectacle …but when the spotlight fades, what remains?
In this production, Pippin takes place inside a decaying nightclub suspended between life and death. Part underground rave, part purgatory, it is a space where the party never ends and time has no meaning. Sweat, smoke, and shadows fill the room. Beauty lingers here, but it is frayed and fading.
Pippin asks whether meaning comes from chasing the high or from breaking free of the cycle. Life, death, and performance blur together in a fever dream, where temptation is seductive and destructive. Dark, raw, and reckless, this production is a haunting exploration of purpose and desire, leaving the audience to wonder: would they choose the fire, or walk away?
“You want your life to be extraordinary – what would you sacrifice to get it?”
